I have been working with He Shou Wu for awhile. I was introduced to it sometime in the mid 1990’s by a former monk who owned an Asian market.
He suggested Shou Wu Chih and told me it was a famous medicine in China. I remembered hearing of it years before. He suggested I take it because I had been dealing with a lot of stress and wasn’t sleeping well. He also noticed my hair was getting grey too soon. He could tell I had Yin deficiency. I had been diagnosed with blood deficiencies before by acupuncturists.
I started using it and took to it quickly. It was actually quite delicious. After using it for awhile, the effects were amazing.
I unfortunately stopped using it for a time. I started talking straight organic He Shou Wu as a tea in 2018. I had been diagnosed with terminal metastatic lung cancer in 2012. I have never had any western medical treatment or drugs for this. It’s now in both lungs and is spreading to other areas. I credit the He Shou Wu with being one of the reasons I am still physical right now.
The He Shou Wu won’t cure the cancer or stop me from dying due to complications from it, but it is certainly helping me to manage the symptoms much better.
It is helping relieve the lower back pain I frequently experience due to a wreck in 1983 which caused some damage to the area. I also suffered from a dislocated jaw because of the wreck. It caused severe TMJ difficulties. The herb is helping to heal both issues. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
